Pastor Michael Rodriguez
Michael Rodriguez was saved and liberated by the power of the Gospel from drug addiction in New York City. He was called by God in 1986 to come to Miami and plant a local church. In 2002, by God’s providence, the Lord provided the campus of Gladeview Baptist Church.
Pastor Michael’s vision is to preach the Gospel, see souls regenerated by the transforming power of the Good News, and to be an influence to our community for the Kingdom of God as we worship, disciple, fellowship, and evangelize, driven by the person and work of Jesus Christ.
The passion of Gladeview remains the same as it has been for almost 40 years: to reach our community, city, and the world for Christ with the transforming power of the Word of God.
Pastor Michael and his wife, Lisa, have three children and five grandchildren.
Pastor Jose Marrero
Growing up in a family of worship leaders, Jose began serving in worship ministry at the age of 10. As he grew and later served as the Youth Leader here at Gladeview Baptist Church (GBC), Jose heard God’s call to ministry. That next semester, Jose transferred to Palm Beach Atlantic University where he graduated with a BA in Biblical and Theological Studies and a Master of Divinity. Throughout the first half of his seminary experience, Jose continued to serve as the Youth Pastor, and later, Associate Pastor at Haverhill Community Church. It was here where God confirmed in Jose’s heart his calling specifically to pastoral ministry and where he married his wife, Giselle. After finishing seminary, Jose was ordained at GBC, an honor he holds dear from the church where he discovered his calling to ministry, and served in different pastoral roles throughout Palm Beach County, Fl.
In March of 2023, God provided the opportunity for Jose to return back to GBC, his home church, as a pastor. Jose and Giselle are beyond grateful for the opportunity to be back home with their family and church. Jose’s passion is to see people find hope and grace in Jesus Christ and help them grow and mature in their faith.
Jose is married to his wife, Giselle, and have two children.
